We are pleased to announce that our annual Sponsored Swim is making a return from the 17th - 23rd of March 2025.

Our annual Sponsored Swim is a part of our continued effort to raise crucial funds for Lune Valley Swimming Pool. As a local community swimming pool and a not-for-profit charity, it is important for us to continuously fundraise throughout the year in order for us to provide a service for on average 625 swimmers on a weekly basis. This includes swimming lessons for young people, clubs and classes for all ages as well as a wide variety of public and family sessions.

Last year, our amazing swimmers managed to swim an incredible 132 miles and raise an amazing £2050.70, which went towards making our pool more sustainable. This year, we are aiming to swim as many miles as possible and see if we can smash our previous goal!

If your child swims with us in any of our swimming lessons, including our Hornby Hammerheads and Rookie Lifeguard sessions, or in our school swimming sessions, your child will be taking part in our sponsored swim during the week of the 17th of March 2025. Our swimming teachers will be making sure to adapt the session time to suit the ability and needs of the children to ensure that they are able to swim comfortably and still have fun.

We are also offering the opportunity for local businesses and groups to take part in our Sponsored Swim. Local Groups/Businesses are able to hire the pool for an hour or two and help us swim some lengths and raise some funds too. For more information, please get in touch!

If you, your child or someone you know would like to join in the fun, our customers are more than welcome to contribute their lengths to our Sponsored Swim Challenge. Or if you would prefer to donate instead, you are welcome to do so by clicking the button below to our Just Giving Page.
All donations and Sponsorship Forms need to be returned by the 31st of March 2025.
Any funds raised, no matter how big or small, will help massively to ensuring that we are able to offer swimming opportunities for future generations to come! Your support is greatly appreciated!
